Herbtopia is a combination of hospitality experience with the traditional chinese nourishment programme simultaneously. The rationale befind is that we forsee the competitiveness of Hong Kong in becoming one of the medical tourism spot in the South East Asia. The aim is to attract foreigners to experience the valuable traditional Chinese nourishment culture.
Balance is an important nourishment theory of this culture and we would like to adopt it through equilibrium in terms of architectural language. A huge suspended box with various kind of chinese herbs stored is constructed at the centre part of the lobby. We utilize the colour, the texture and the scent of the chinese herbs to create a cozy tranquil and yet oriental atmosphere for the customers. Belows are the lighting test and mock-up models of the lobby area.
