Buoy, a series multi-functional devices that serves the beach users, as kinds of beach facilities that fit different needs of users. People always need to carry their own outfits for beach activities, which might be a cause reducing the enjoyment of having beach activities. Therefore, a set of spatial devices is design to tackle this problem in order to unitilize the ample beach space.
WEAVING | MODULAR | BUOYANCY
The choice of material is the clear hose. After investigating the material properties and different connection methods between hose to hose. Weaving become the final decision of transforming the hose, which is originally loose, to a 3D form by making 6 tanacles as the structure connecting them with a network of spines in-between.
Belows are the technical drawings of the BUOY, its weaving guide and the analysis about the relationship between the beach topologies and the typical activities happening at the beach.
